Live animal transportation seems easily done but in order to have no problems , storage  or quarantine charges in the imported country the owner has to meet all the requirements.

Sending your pets or other live animals to Suriname?

Contact us to request our documentation package fee which includes:

1.  Custom clearance

2. The custom duties (55% of the CIF value)

3. Registration at the customs office

4. Required import permit from the Ministry of  Agriculture, Farming and Fisheries

5. An appointment for a check up for your animal at a veterinarian registered in our data base

 

Export

For export  of live animals, the owners needs to follow a veterinarian screening of the animal according to international standard for approximately 6 month prior to departure.

When the animal is "travel ready" we can offer you a  documentation export package, which includes:

1.  Custom clearance

2. The custom duties (0.6% of the value)

3. Registration at the custom office

4. Required export permit from the Ministry of  Agriculture, Farming and Fisheries

5. A flight schedule/rate to your desired destination
